Sun Jingbo, male, born in January 28, 1945 in Muping County, Shandong Province, Han nationality. After graduating from the Affiliated High School of Central Academy of Fine Arts (CAFA) in 1964, he went to work for Yunnan Artists Association. In 1978, he was admitted to the oil painting research class of CAFA. After graduation, he began to work as a teacher in the Mural Department of CAFA. In 1986, Mr. Sun went to Paris to study mural painting and oil painting at École Nationale des Beaux-Arts, and returned to China two years later. He has successively served as a professor, deputy director, department head, director of the first studio, executive deputy director of the Academic Committee, and doctoral supervisor of the Academy of Art Creation at CAFA. Meanwhile, Mr. Sun works as an invited expert for Modeling Institute of Academy of Fine Arts, Minzu University of China, an academic advisor and invited professor at School of Arts of Renmin University of China, deputy director of Oil Painting Art Committee of China Artists Association, deputy director of China Mural Painting Society, leader of exhibition review expert group of National Art Museum of China, lifelong art committee member of China Oil Painting Society, expert of National Major Historical Theme Creation Project Review Team, director of China Artists Association, etc.
In 2000, Mr. Sun was awarded the title of “Expert Who Made Outstanding Contributions to the Development of China’s Culture and Education” and government subsidies by the State Council. In 2003, he was selected as one of the highly respected teachers of Beijing prestigious schools.
